All of G&B’s attorneys are involved in its oil and gas litigation which generally concerns disputed mineral titles and the validity and interpretation of oil and gas joint operating agreements, leasing agreements and other contracts.  The above picture shows the horizontal re-entry of the Triangle K Well.  This operation occurred after a successful result in one of G&B’s better known cases: Stable Energy et al v. Kachina Oil & Gas et al, 52 S.W.3d 327, which is discussed in Texas Law of Oil and Gas, E. Smith & J. Weaver, 2nd edition, pages 17-30 and 17-35.  Mr. Goldsmith and Ms. Bogisch were the prevailing trial and appellate counsel in that case.

Jan Patterson is of counsel to G&B and assists the firm in evaluating difficult legal issues. Ms. Patterson recently retired as a Justice of the Third Court of Appeals in Austin and currently teaches law as an adjunct professor at Baylor Law School in addition to her work with G&B.
